Our Review

Located between Table Mountain and the wild Atlantic sea the Twelve Apostles is a stylish hotel which loves children. This intimate five star hotel has a stunning location poised above the Atlantic sea, flanked by the majestic Table Mountain and her Twelve Apostles mountain range. It is just minutes from the very cool bars, restaurants and lovely sandy beaches of Camps Bay. The rooms and suites vary in decoration but each is very stylish using light and fresh colours. Those on the sea side have huge windows with stunning views out to sea and the incredible sunsets. There is a range of rooms to suit different family sizes with suites and interconnecting rooms also available. Thoughtfully the hotel can provide safety items to toddler proof your room such as flexi-loop locks and plug socket protectors. Children love playing in the fun pools especially the rock pool, once they have fully exhausted themselves swimming you may like to encourage them to watch a film in the 16 seater cinema, or perhaps take advantage of using one of their fully qualified babysitters to watch your little ones while you relax in their superb spa. Cape Town has a huge range of great family activities on offer which the hotel can recommend and help you organize, they provide delicious picnics for day trips out, or you can head of directly from the hotel with your picnic for an intrepid mountain walk. In the evenings the Leopard Room Bar is a popular spot for cocktails while watching the sun go down or star gazing accompanied by the sound of waves. The hotels restaurant Azure is well regarded or if you feel like something lighter there is a 24 hour café. Both restaurants accept children at all times with an extensive children’s menu including pureed food for the smallest ones. A unique hotel that manages to combine a young, cosmopolitan feel with a warm welcome for even the littlest of people. The hotel is based 5 minutes beyond Camps Bay but does hourly shuttles to the beach and the V&A. Insider Info: The rooms with sea views get booked up very early so if this is what you want make sure you reserve in good time. Our Opinion The hotel is closer to the beach than the main Cape Town hotels so if you are after a really lovely hotel in a relaxing area with stunning views then this is a lovely option.
